2011 was a great success...
On the third running of the event nearly 80 Pre-1973 cars completed a 50 mile
rural route devised by show organiser James Ewing, which culminated with a trip
to the Hollycombe Steam Collection before the cars returned for the show on the green, where
joined by a further 50+ show cars they presented a great display.
Most of the major classic car marques including Bentley, Jaguar, AC, Maserati,
Austin Healey and Lotus were featured dating from 1914 to 1973. The 'Best
Dressed Car & Driver' was judged by John Orr of Haslemere Wardrobe and Fleur de Guerre a 1940's style model, who finally selected Angela Hume from
West Horsley to be the worthy winner with her wonderful 1938 Ford Prefect,
which had belonged to her father. The "People's Choice' Award winner was David
Bicknell in a beautiful 1934 Lagonda Corinthian, runner up was Louise Payne in
a Renault 4. They won prizes donated by Station Garage, and CPA Motor Factors.
